Hello Families,

Hello Zinser Families, We’ve wrapped up our second week of school, and it’s been a wonderful start! Students are diving into our new reading curriculum, exploring interesting books, and building their writing and literacy skills at every grade level. Learning is happening all day long, and we are so proud of the effort our students are putting in. Our amazing team of teachers and support staff continues to create engaging and supportive classrooms where students can grow. I had the joy of visiting each classroom to read with students and remind them that we are a community of learners. When we work together and help one another, we can go farther and accomplish great things. Thank you for your partnership in making Zinser a place where students thrive!

Have a great weekend!

At Home Learning Tip - Why Attendance Matters
Every Day Counts! Did you know that just a few missed days of school can add up quickly—and impact your child’s learning and success? In elementary school, each day builds important academic and social skills. Consistent attendance helps students:

-Build good habits for future success
-Stay on track with reading and math
-Feel connected to their teachers and classmates
-Develop confidence and a positive attitude toward school

Help your child build a strong foundation by making school a daily priority. Set consistent routines, avoid scheduling appointments during the school day, and reach out if you need support getting your child to school. Together, we can help every student thrive—every day counts!

Hello Families,

Communication is key to staying connected. At the end of each week, you can expect an email with a link to our school newsletter. Inside, you’ll find important school updates, district news, and community events.

Thank you for taking the time each week to read it and for reaching out with any questions. We look forward to keeping you informed and connected throughout the year!

We had a wonderful first week of school! Students are already making new connections, settling into routines, and learning procedures that will set them up for success this year. A quick reminder: any changes to your child’s transportation must be called into the office before 3:00 p.m. Please do not rely on email for these changes, as teachers may not have a chance to check their messages before dismissal. We’re so excited to have everyone back and are looking forward to a fantastic school year. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Have a great weekend!

Hello Zinser Families,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at Open House this past week! Our staff and students are excited and ready to kick off a fantastic school year next week.

Starting next week, we will begin sending out our weekly school newsletter to keep you informed about important updates and events. Classroom teachers will also be reaching out by email to ensure we all stay connected.

If you haven’t already, be sure to follow Kenowa Hills Zinser Elementary on Facebook—it’s another great way to stay in the loop!

As we look forward to the first day of school, here are a couple of reminders to help keep everyone safe and organized:

Goodbyes happen outside: Parents should say goodbye at the door. We have plenty of staff on hand to help students find their classrooms.

Carpool line: If you are dropping off or picking up your child, please pull all the way forward in the carpool lane to help keep traffic moving and prevent backups on Leonard. For everyone’s safety, please also avoid making left-hand turns in and out of the parking lot. We’ve attached a map with directions around the neighborhood below to help make drop-off and pick-up as safe and smooth as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we start this exciting new school year together!

Proud to partner with you,
Brooke Johnston
Principal

LEARNING

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without an understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
