Several people have let us know that the link to Panko's wish list in the newsletter isn't working, so we've posted it below if you're interested in donating.

“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” — Henry Adams

As we head into Teacher Appreciation Week next week, let’s celebrate the amazing educators who make a difference every day! We encourage all families to take a moment this week to reach out to your child’s teacher with a note of thanks, a kind message, or a small gesture of appreciation. A little gratitude goes a long way in showing our teachers how valued they are!

Greetings! We have some exciting news...

Zinser Elementary has been named a 2024-2025 Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School, a prestigious honor awarded to campuses that demonstrate excellence in building a culture where students feel safe, connected, and engaged.

The Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools® Award recognizes schools that go above and beyond in creating an environment where students thrive academically and emotionally. Through the Capturing Kids’ Hearts® Process, educators at Zinser have been equipped with relationship-building tools and processes that help them foster student success and a positive campus culture.

Each year, Capturing Kids’ Hearts recognizes schools across the country for their commitment to transforming their campus environments through a relational approach to education. Schools that receive this designation have shown measurable progress in student connectedness, academic achievement, and overall school culture.  We are proud of the work that happens each day in Zinser, and are grateful for the students and families we get to partner with to do this work!

Just a quick reminder—if you park across Leonard Street, please make sure to walk up to the crosswalk at Leonard and Kinney to cross safely. We've had several close calls with kids and parents nearly getting hit while trying to cross the road outside the designated crosswalk.

Here's a link to this week's newsletter that is FULL of helpful information for our school, district, and community.

Have a great weekend!

LEARNING

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without an understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
